Subtracting fractions
Subtracting fractions is just as easy as adding them, and it follows the same rules. When the denominator is the same, just look at the numerators to do your subtracting.
To get the answer all you have to do is subtract the top numbers. 3 - 2 =1, so the new numerator is equal to 1. Remember: don't do anything to the denominator! Both denominators are the same, so keep the same number in the denominator for the new fraction. This means the new denominator is also 6. Your new fraction is equal to 1/6!
