The purpose of this web site is to help students learn about fractions. It will act as a supplement to class materials in meeting objectives such as being able to understand fractions a part of a whole, parts of a fraction, fraction equivalence as well as being able to perform key operations with fractions, such as addition and subtraction.
This site has been designed by E. Shames for Mrs. Hurd’s 4th grade classroom at Jackson-Mann School in Boston, Massachusetts. I am a student at Boston University studying Deaf Studies in the School of Education. This site is a requirement for the course ED101, which contributes to satisfying the Massachusetts licensing requirements for coursework in Educational Technology.
