Adding Fractions
Adding fractions with the same denominator is easy! When the bottom number is the same, just look at the numerators to add the fractions. For example:
To get this answer all you have to do is add the top numbers. 2 +1 = 3, so the new numerator is 3. Don't do anything to the denominator! Both denominators are the same, so keep the same number in the denominator for the new fraction. This means the new denominator is also 5. Your new fraction is 3/5!
